After A Break Up Avoid Being Lonely

By Alex Ribchester

One of the worst things that can happen after a break up is being lonely. A break up alone is bad enough but then sitting at home all by yourself to think about it is worse.

I am going to give you some advice which will hopefully help you to avoid this lonely stage. The first thing to remember is that being around lots of people will open your eyes a bit more and take your mind off your ex.

It is a common thing in a relationship for people to fall out of touch with friends as they are with their partner all the time. After the breakup it is vital that you contact these old friends and begin to spend time with them again.

The more time you can spend with them the better. Even if it feels a bit awkward at first due to not seeing them for a while, just stick with it. If you were still in contact with your friends while you were in a relationship then seeing them obviously won't be too much of a problem.

Spending time with family is important too. Siblings are good to spend more time with. Your parents are even there as some company but they probably won't be who you turn to first.

There is also the idea of joining up to a local gym. Doing this will give your appearance a boost in time for when you next see your ex.

Shaping up or shedding the pounds will make you feel so much better about yourself. So with spending time at the gym and seeing friends often your mind will be kept off your ex and your time will be occupied.

Ultimately if you're alone you're much more likely to become desperate to get your ex back and this will lead to desperate actions. Actions such as desperate phone calls or text messages will drive your ex away and this is why you should keep yourself occupied so that you can avoid doing it.
